Intergenerational Worship

Intergenerational Worship Gatherings

At DSBC, we believe that every generation is vital to the life of the church. From toddlers to teenagers, young adults to grandparents, we are all part of the same body, called to worship, serve, and grow together. That’s why intergenerational ministry isn’t just something we do—it’s part of who we are.

Yes, we offer super fun kids’ programming and dedicated spaces where young ones can explore the Bible in age-appropriate ways. But beyond that, we want kids of all ages to know they belong in every space of our church. We believe church isn’t just for kids—it’s with kids. That’s why we’re intentional about creating opportunities where children, teens, and adults can learn from one another, serve alongside each other, and build relationships that span generations.

A key part of that is our Intergenerational Worship Services, held on the first Sunday of each month. During these gatherings, students from 1st grade through adults worship together in an interactive and engaging environment. And it’s not just about being in the same room, it’s about serving together. On these Sundays, people of all ages are invited to serve: from the tech booth to the communion table, from the host team to the prayer team. We believe everyone has a gift to give, and everyone is invited to be part of what God is doing.

Worshipping and serving together also helps build relationships across the generations. One of the most significant factors in a child continuing in the faith into adulthood is this: five adults in the church know their name. Five adults who know them, see them, and invest in them. Intergenerational ministry helps make that possible.

We are committed to partnering with parents and guardians in the discipleship journey. Whether you choose to worship as a family each Sunday or take advantage of our age-specific ministries for kids and students, we’re here to support and walk alongside you.

Together, let’s keep building a church where every generation is seen, known, and invited to lead.
