About Brent Fooks
I came to know Jesus at a very young age. When I was six years old, my grandmother was visiting, and I remember praying with her, telling Jesus that I wanted to know Him and live my life for Him.
Throughout my youth, I was active in youth group and various church ministries. My heart has always been to know Jesus intimately and to encourage others to know Him in the same way. I truly believe that as we live and work together in our communities, Jesus gives us opportunities to share His love and grace in our everyday lives.
I have been happily married to my wife, Christine, since 1990. We have two biological sons, Aaron and Cole, and two beautiful adopted daughters, Teresa and Acacia. Christine and I homeschool our children and are actively involved in various ministries wherever God leads us.
Our family has a strong passion for serving the under-served both locally and globally. We have been active in ministry work in Guatemala, Tanzania, Slovakia, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and in and around Phoenix. I have also served for the past six years on the Don & Karen Allen Advisory Board and was recently named to the board of Base Camp Missions.
It would be an honor to continue serving the DSBC community in whatever ways the Lord leads. Currently, I facilitate the Emotionally Healthy Discipleship courses, co-facilitate the “How to Read Your Bible” class, and lead various book studies, including Be the Bridge.
